Executive Summary on Bed Rail By Jackie G. Maxwell

toddler bed rail
The question of whether you need a toddler bed rail depends largely on how active your little one is. Most toddler beds are not designed to use rails with.
A toddler benefits most from a bed rail, when they reach the size that a regular twin size bed is needed. Most models of toddler bed rails are made to fit between a mattress and box spring, using some variation of an L-shape. The actual height of the rail varies, and can be affected by the depth of your mattress.
Toddlers can be restless, and temperamental. You may wish to consider rails that are padded, for extra protection.
Before looking for a bed rail, measure the bed’s height, and the mattress depth.
Bed Rail Safety for Your Child
Executive Summary on Bed Rail By Mark Shiffer
Not sure what baby or toddler bed side rails will work best for you? How many rails do you want for the bed? Do you have a headboard and a footboard for the bed? Others are made solely for toddler beds, but very few bedrails are for regular mattresses.
The other thing to note is that some of the older models leave a gap between the mattress and the bedrail so your baby could fall between the rail and the mattress. So look for newer models or ones that fasten tight to the mattress and you will avoid this safety issue.
You will not feel good if you are worried about your baby’s safety, so make sure the bed rail is secure to the bed and your worries will disappear.
